Fall Teams

Copa de la Sierras Tournament : Labor Day weekend 2012: The Legacy ’02 and ’03 boys finished in third place this weekend at the Copa de la Sierra’s hosted by Barcelona NorCal. Both games finished 2-1, the ‘02s beating the host and the ‘03s beating the Marauders from CalNorth. Well done boys even with only 3 weeks of training under your belts you still played well! The ’99 boys saw some really good competition last weekend, but improved as the weekend went on. There was a lot of growth and that’s what matters most with a brand new team in the u14 age group. The girl’s side saw some excellent competition and played in some very tight games. All coaches were happy to see their teams and player improve as the weekend went on. With 2 brand new teams in the u10 (‘03s) and u14 (‘99s) brackets and many new players to the’02 team the ladies showed heart and passion as the weekend progressed. The ’01 girls played in their first 11v11 games of the season and quickly began to play the creative possession style that the older Legacy teams are known for.

Overall it was a great weekend for Legacy FC. We look forward to a season of great developmental growth for every player on our teams!

Sagebrush Fall Friendship Tournament: October 2012. The Legacy F.C teams that competed in this tournament were: U10 Girls and Boys, U11 Girls and Boys, U12 Girls and U14 Girls and Boys. This was our second tournament as a club for the fall season. We had some great results over the weekend with teams progressing and getting better game by game. Each of the coaches could see a difference and were quite pleased with how the teams performed.  Overall it was a great weekend and a great way to finish the fall tournament season!

Las Vegas Mayors Cup: February 2013. The Legacy F.C teams that competed in this tournament were: U17 Girls, U16 Girls and U15 Girls. This is one of the top 20 premier college showcases in the country! The U17 Girls team competed in the top bracket due to their great finish in this tournament last year and for finishing 2nd in the 2012 Nevada State Cup. All three teams excelled in the tournament playing and competing with some highly ranked competition from this country and also Colombia and Canada! This was the first tournament of the season for all three teams and even more special was the fact that this was only after training as a team for 6 weeks together!

Sagebrush Startup: March 2013. The Legacy F.C teams that competed in this tournament were: U10 Girls and Boys, U11 Girls and Boys and U14 Boys. This was the first tournament for these teams for the spring season. All teams played well above the expectations their coaches had for them which was quite pleasing. The U11 Girls team finished 2nd in the tournament which was all due to their hard work, great work ladies!
